Install the snippet (sites you can't connect)

For sites with no platform connection: one line of code, pasted once, and approved fixes apply as each page loads.

Connecting your website is the better route: on WordPress and Webflow, Apply to site writes each approved fix into the site itself, where every crawler sees it. See “Connect your website”. The snippet is for everything else, Wix, Squarespace, a hand-built site, or a platform we don't connect to yet. It loads on your pages, fetches the fixes you've approved for that site, and applies them in the browser.

1. Copy your snippet

  1. 1Open your site in the dashboard and go to Settings → Connections.
  2. 2Open the Connect CMS tab and scroll to the Install snippet card.
  3. 3Click Copy. The line already carries your site's project ID and the right address.
What it looks like (yours is pre-filled on the Connections page)
<script src="https://ranknexus.ai/nexus-rank.js" data-project="YOUR-PROJECT-ID" data-api="https://ranknexus.ai" async></script>

Copy it rather than retyping it. The data-project value is unique to your site, and without it the snippet can't find your fixes.

2. Paste it before </head>

It goes on every page, just before the closing </head> tag. Most platforms have a field for exactly this:

  • Wix and Squarespace: the custom head code field in site settings.
  • Framer: Site settings → General → Custom code, in the end of <head> box.
  • Webflow: Site settings → Custom code → Head code, though connecting Webflow instead is better.
  • A custom site: your base template's <head>.

3. Check it's live

  1. 1Open your site and view the page source (Ctrl/Cmd+U).
  2. 2Search for “nexus-rank.js”. If it's there, the snippet is installed.
  3. 3Approve a fix on Fix Issues, reload the page, and the change applies.

The snippet only applies fixes you've approved, and it loads async, so it never blocks your page.

The snippet changes the page in the visitor's browser. Google renders JavaScript and picks up most of these changes, but many AI crawlers read only the raw HTML and won't see them. Where you can connect your platform, do.

Common questions

Will it slow my site down?

No. The script is async, so it never blocks rendering, and it only fetches the small set of fixes you approved for that site.

What happens if I remove it?

Your pages go back to their original markup. The snippet applies fixes as the page loads; it never rewrites your source.

Do I need it if my website is connected?

No. With WordPress or Webflow connected, Apply to site writes fixes into the site directly, so the snippet adds nothing.
