Connect your website
Link your platform once, and approved fixes and new articles go straight to your site.
Connecting your website lets Apply to site write approved fixes into your pages, and lets the articles you approve in Content Studio publish there. It is step 3 of Onboarding, and it lives at Settings → Connections → Connect CMS whenever you want to change it.
- 1Open Onboarding, or Settings → Connections and the Connect CMS tab. On Onboarding, if the audit recognised your platform, its setup is already open.
- 2Pick your platform and follow its card. The options are below.
- 3The card turns green once the connection works. Onboarding ticks the step off by itself.
The platforms
- WordPress (self-hosted): download our plugin from the card, upload it in WP admin under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, and activate it. There is no password or secret to copy. See “Install the WordPress plugin”.
- Webflow: paste one site API token. We find your site, its domain and your blog collection from it. See “Connect Webflow, Next.js or a webhook”.
- Next.js: we host your finished articles and your site pulls them through our API, and head-tag fixes apply too. You add a site URL and a revalidate secret.
- Webhook: finished articles are sent as JSON to Zapier, Make, n8n or any endpoint you choose. Webhooks carry articles, not fixes.
- WordPress.com and Framer are marked Early: you can save your details now, but publishing to them is still being built.
Someone else runs the website? On the Onboarding website step, send the step to your developer or agency. They join as an Editor on this site only, and the email brings them straight to it.
Platform not listed, or you can't connect it? Skip the step. You can still copy each fix from Fix Issues into your site by hand, or paste the snippet once. See “Install the snippet”.
