Connect a WordPress site
Download our plugin, upload it in WP admin, activate. Approved fixes and articles then go straight to your site.
Connecting a self-hosted WordPress site lets Apply to site write approved fixes into it (alt text, titles and descriptions, schema, llms.txt, robots.txt) and lets approved articles publish there as drafts. It takes one plugin and no password.
- 1Open Onboarding's website step, or Settings → Connections → Connect CMS, and choose WordPress.
- 2Check the site address and click Download plugin. You get ranknexus-connect.zip, built for this site only.
- 3In WP admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.
- 4Back in the dashboard, the WordPress card turns green within a few seconds.
Don't have WP admin access? Send the website step to the site's developer from Onboarding, and they can do the upload.
The plugin authenticates in the request body, so it works on Hostinger, LiteSpeed and CDN-fronted hosts where the usual WordPress login header gets stripped. Full detail is in “Install the WordPress plugin”.
